How can I celebrate the holidays here in Manayunk?

Join in on the holiday fun here in Manayunk with events and activities running from mid-November all the way through December. See below for the full schedule and come on out for a holiday season you won’t forget!

What will be happening during the Tree Lighting Ceremony?

The evening of November 16th will be filled with ways to spread holiday cheer. In addition to the Tree Lighting itself at 7:00, there will be live music from local musicians and bands, crafts and even the chance to write letters to Santa Clause himself! If that wasn’t enough to get you excited, the Manayunk Gets LIT! Competition opens up on that same night, which will run through all of December. What is the Manayunk Gets LIT! Competition and how can I get involved?

The Manayunk Gets LIT! Competition is a holiday decoration contest involving businesses up and down Main Street Manayunk. Businesses will be decking out their buildings in all sorts of lights, decorations and more for a chance to win either Most LIT!, Best Overall and Most Creative.

How will that be decided? That’s where everyone else comes in. Vote for your favorite decorations and businesses from November 16th to December 14th.(Voting link?) Make sure you vote, because not only will you help that business take home a prize, you will be entered to win a $200 Manayunk shopping spree! What deals will I be able to get in Manayunk during Small Business Saturday?

Want to get a start on your holiday shopping and support your local small businesses? Come to Manayunk’s Small Business Saturday on November 25th! Businesses all around Manayunk will be having promotions and deals that you do not want to miss out on. All day, businesses will be giving out free gifts and giveaways, hosting super sales, and even putting on pop-up events. There is so much to do! What about the Jolly Trolley?

Hop on the FREE Jolley Trolley during Get Lit! weekends! Happening every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from November 30 to December 23rd, these nights are filled with live entertainment, retail and restaurant deals, and of course a chance to take a ride on the Jolly Trolley. The trolley will be making stops at your favorite Manayunk spots all along Main Street, and while you enjoy your ride, you can admire all the twinkling Main Street lights. You may be able to hear some carolers singing or spot Santa himself. Join us as we spread some holiday cheer!
