East Falls Development Corporation has been leading efforts to enhance local connections to the river. These efforts include creating a gateway pedestrian island with lighting, redeveloping the Bathey House to provide visitor amenities, addressing stormwater issues, and installing public art projects.   The East Falls Development Corporation has also examined the feasibility of installing a viewing platform or dock for additional river access.
