For their 5th year, the Manayunk Wingwomen are back! The Manayunk Wingwomen is an organization made up of almost 30 women-owned businesses on Main Street. This organization was started by Brandy Deieso, owner of The Little Apple Gift Boutique (4361 Main St.), in 2021, to support the Grab ‘n Flow community initiative. This initiative began in 2020, when founder, Shelley Arogoncillo, wanted members of her community to have access to wellness and menstruation products discreetly and without cost. She created a shed in South Philadelphia where anyone can access these products, and has since started three more sheds in West Philadelphia. This year, they are adding a fifth shed in our very own neighborhood!
In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Manayunk Wingwomen are holding their donation drive from March 8th-March 31st. Supporting businesses will be collecting menstrual, prenatal, and postpartum supplies in donation bins located in stores. Aside from the items, they are also collecting monetary donations for Women Against Abuse, Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence advocate. Last year they collected over 40 boxes worth of supplies and over $600 in donations, this year they are hoping to pass that record!

Manayunk’s Grab-N-Flow Shed:
After the many successful drives the Manayunk Wingwomen have held over the years to support women in Philadelphia, they decided to create Manayunk’s own shed right in our community. The shed will be opening up in April 2026 at the North Light Community Center (175 Green Ln). Not only will members of our community be able to have easier access to these products, it will also be easier to donate every month of the year!
