What is your favorite part of this job?

My favorite part is definitely being my own boss. Being able to set my own rules, make my own hours and decide how everything should be done. It can be challenging but being able to make all of your own decisions is great.

What are some of the challenges you face owning your own business?

What I love the most about my job is also the most challenging part. Being my own boss has its perks but there is a lot of pressure because it is just me making all of the important decisions and everything falls on my shoulders. This is not a 9-5 job, I'm constantly doing something and it can be difficult to turn my brain off sometimes but I wouldn't change a thing. I love being my own boss and the challenges that come along with it.

What is unique about Boostin' Bowls?

What makes Boostin' Bowls different is that we specialize and focus mostly on the acai bowls. We offer different things such as smoothies and breakfast dishes but our main focus are the acai bowls and making them perfectly.

What is the most challenging item to make on your menu and why?

All of the bowls have their challenges. Making the base of the acai bowls and getting the consistency right definitely took me the longest to perfect. Now that I make them all day every day I'm almost an expert!

What is your favorite menu item and why?

My favorite bowl is the Monkey Bowl. It features banana, chocolate chips and granola and is perfect for breakfast or any time of the day! It seems to be a customer favorite as well.

I love Manayunk because...

It is such a great community of people. All of my neighbors are so friendly and all of the other business owners are so supportive and willing to help. Manayunk is overall a great place to live and own a business!
