What does Manayunk look like from an outsider's point of view? Alicia gives us her perspective on Manayunk's art, fashion, and food scene!

Are you from Manayunk? If not, what brings you here?
I'm not; I work in the gallery, I'm the gallery director here. I actually came for Danny Simmons' art exhibition and that's when I met Lenny and I started working.
Have you attended any Manayunk events?
The StrEAT Festival... the food fest. I'm a big foodie, so I loved it! I love trying new foods.
What's your favorite thing to do in the area?
I think window shop. I'm big on window shopping but I love food, too, so I just like to walk around during my free time and find new restaurants.
What restaurant would you recommend to a newcomer?
Oh my gosh, I'm still learning, so I wouldn't even know! I mean, the Chai Bistro is good. I've heard Union Taco's amazing, but I haven't tried it personally.
What do you love about Manayunk?
I think it's like, it's own little culture. I live in Center City and it's nothing like it; it's a little more home-y, kind of suburban but not really, and it still has a city vibe but it's more like a cute little cultured town. And it has really good food and good shopping!
