Keeyan and Devon’s love story first began online. Then on October 28th 2011, it blossomed into a full-scale romance during their first date, at the Manayunk Brewery. The story of their first date is a classic he said she said romantic comedy plot. Keeyan asserts, to this day, he ask Devon out for drinks, and she swears he asked her out for dinner. Needless to state, not far into the date, she was starving, but was too nervous and didn’t want to seem eager, so she didn’t say a word about her hunger level rising by the second. Much to her delight, Keeyan finally asked if she had any interest in splitting a pizza. By the time the pie was on their table, Devon was so famished that the intent to share it was out the window, and she shamelessly devoured the entire pie by herself! Over four years later, he still teases her about it every chance he gets, and they have a tradition of celebrating their anniversary by sharing a pizza at the Brewery.

However, their fourth anniversary took a detour from their usual pizza and beers, when they eloped in Paris, France! However, this Roxborough couple couldn’t leave Manayunk behind on such a special day. They brought a bit of Manayunk with them across the ocean, in the form of Joseph Gidjunis of JPG Photography. Joe packed his bags and camera, and was not only Keeyan and Devon’s wedding photographer, but acted as their witness as well! Keeyan and Devon’s Manayunk love story shows that you never know where enjoying a great local beer with someone new will take you in life, and proves that you can always bring a little piece of home with you, no matter the physical distance.
