Christine and Matt’s Manayunk love story was love at first frozen bite. On a beautiful last day of the summer, after chatting away on a mobile app, Christine and Matt decided to take it to the next level and meet in person. As the self-proclaimed Frozen Treat Queen, Christine, whose days in living in Manayunk were numbered, couldn’t leave the area until she went to Whirled Peace. So, when she and Matt were figuring out the “where” to the when and where of their first date, she seized the opportunity to have the combo of a tasty cold treat and meet someone new. Much to everyone’s delight, both Whirled Peace and meeting Matt were an overwhelming success!

Over the last eight months, they have added various elements of Manayunk to their story. Date nights at Anastasi Raw Bar, watching Philadelphia International Cycling Classic from his roof deck on Levering Street, and Matt has even joined Christine in her love of cycling by takine classes at The Wall. Come this summer they will be finding a place of their own, right here where they belong, in Manayunk, and continue to add chapters in their Manayunk love story.
