The Manayunk Development Corporation is excited to host Manayunk's first ever Hidden River Blues Festival - and the day is quickly approaching! Join us this Saturday (August 15th) for great music and good times on Venice Island in Manayunk! In preparation for the event, here are some helpful tips to keep in mind for getting the most out of your festival experience!
• What are the ticket prices and where can I purchase tickets?
Tickets are $10 in advance on Eventbrite and in the MDC Office (4312 Main Street). Many businesses and restaurants are also selling tickets as well. Tickets will be $15 the day of the event. Children 10 and under get in for free.
• Where can I park?
Parking on Venice Island has limited space.Access to Venice Island parking will be via Cotton Street ONLY - No access via Lock Street.There are also two other parking lots in walking distance to the festival which are located at Main and Carson St. as well as Green Lane and Main Street. There is also plenty of street parking too.
• Will there be ATMs nearby?
There will be an ATM located at the main gate near Cotton and Main Street. There are also a few ATMS on Main Street as well as in a few restaurants.
• What is the musical lineup schedule?
11:00 am: Tattar Tucker Moog Jackson with “Chicago” Carl Snyder 12:30 pm: Steve Guyger and the Excellos 2:00 pm: Deb Callahan Band 3:30 pm: James Supra Blues Band 5:00 pm: Sugar Blue Band 6:30 pm: Otis Taylor Band
• What is the re-entry policy? Any guest is free to come and go throughout the day of the festival. On-site venue re-entry is permitted with proof of valid wristband.
• Will there be food offered inside the venue? Yes, there will be food provided and served on-site by a few of our Manayunk Restaurants. No outside food is permitted.
• Will there be drinks offered inside the venue? Yes, there will stands to buy water, soda, variety of beer from Boulevard Brewing Company, and cocktails by Jim Beam. No outside drinks are permitted.
• Are pets allowed to enter into the venue? Unfortunately pets or other animals are not permitted on the venue grounds.
• Will I be able to ride a bike to the event? We encourage our visitors to stay active and remain eco-friendly by biking to the Manayunk Hidden River Blues Festival! Take Kelly Drive from Center City or the Schuylkill River Trail from all parts of the Philadelphia region. Visit the Bike Coalition of Greater Philadelphia for more details and biking maps. There are places to lock your bike along Cotton St.
• What are the SEPTA Train schedules and fare rates? For schedules and fare rates, contact SEPTA at (215) 580-7800 or on the web at www.septa.org for more information.
• What is the camera/photography policy? Cameras are permitted for photography use during the festival. However, video recordings will NOT be permitted for
• Will there be bathrooms at the venue? There will be Port O Potties scattered throughout the venue. Port O Potties will be located nearby each gate entrance.
• Are backpacks acceptable inside the venue? Yes, however they will be searched.
• Will there be seating?
There is no seating, however we encourage you to bring a chair or blanket if you do not want to stand the whole time.
• What is NOT acceptable inside the venue? No coolers or outside food is allowed within the venue.
The Hidden River Blues Festival will be a celebration of one of the most inspirational and eclectic genres of modern music. A huge thanks to everyone involved for their support, participation, and making this event possible! We can't wait to see you all there!
