The anticipation is over for Manayunk and cookie lovers can now rest easy, Insomnia Cookies is now open for business! Located at 4319 Main Street, this is their seventh location in Philadelphia, which is where the business all started.
It all began in the heart of Philadelphia. In 2003, freshman at the time, Seth Berkowitz wanted to cater to peers that ran into the problem of local food spots closing early at night. His goal was to help fellow students fulfill late night hunger pains. Berkowitz began his mini business by baking cookies and delivering them to students around campus - and the rest is history.
The menu includes many delicious treats that will satisfy any sweet tooth. Insomnia does more than just bake classic cookies – chocolate chip, oatmeal raison, white chocolate macadamia; they also serve deluxe cookies, brownies, cookie cakes, and yummy frozen desserts all for a reasonable price.
Did you know that Insomnia Cookies is open until 3 a.m.? “As we continue to expand across the city, our focus remains on serving only the most delicious, fresh and warm cookies until 3 a.m.,” says Berkowitz in his press release on Insomniacookies.com discussing the new location.
The foot traffic throughout Manayunk is a plus, so those looking for a sweet snack after a filling meal will be the frequent faces at Insomnia. Deliveries throughout the city are just as important as the foot traffic. To keep the history of Insomnia strong, Philadelphia University is in range to receive late-night cravings.
Insomnia is currently still celebrating their Grand Opening. They will be giving out one free cookie with a coupon until Jan. 28! Like Insomnia on Facebook for your coupon and stay updated with other news and promotions.
