Packed with holiday party dresses, sparkly tops, patterned skirts, and statement accessories – Smak Parlour is a girl’s dream store! A one-of-a-kind fashion boutique, Smak Parlour recently opened on December 4th along Main Street and will keep its doors open until the end of the month.

While it’s only temporary to Main Street, Smak Parlour’s permanent home is in Old City and has been around since 2005. Originally known as Smak by Abby and Katie, it began as an in-house production studio where all clothes were made on site. Today, Smak Parlour has expanded and buys from 165+ vendors, which include well-known stylish brands such as Ya and Ark & Co. In addition to their store, they have also recently acquired a Fashion Truck (a mobile boutique on wheels) which pops up at various events. You may have even seen their truck pop up a few times in Manayunk!

Charming and quaint, Smak Parlour fits in perfectly with the Manayunk neighborhood. Theresa, one of Smak Parlours fashionistas, was fabulous to talk with as we looked through all of the merchandise. It was hard to narrow down my favorite thing, but I knew I couldn’t leave without buying a gorgeous necklace. Having friendly and personal employees at a small business is what really allows you to have an amazing shopping experience.
