MANAYUNK RESTAURANT WEEK: 10 Mouth-Watering Entrees You Will Find at Manayunk Restaurant Week

Posted by: Alicia Dietzmann, Public Relations and Events Coordinator

Including tonight, there are only 4 more days left to enjoy Manayunk Restaurant Week!  Manayunk’s restaurants are offering 3-course menus for either $10, $20, or $30.  While updating the website, promoting via social media, and creating promotional materials, I have read these menus 100 times.  I just had to share the top ten most tantalizing menu items that I just can’t get out of my head!

Starting with Derek’s Griddled Jumbo Lump Crabcake.  This delicacy is served with avocado corn salad & cilantro-lime butter.  Can you say YUM?!

Next, Jake’s and Cooper’s is serving up a specialty for Week 2 of Restaurant Week!  On the menu until October 4 is a Grilled Pork Chop served with shaved brussel sprouts with smoked baon, barbecue plum sauce, and spicy apple jus.  Salivating over here!

A tried and true comfort dish, Winnie’s Le Bus is cooking up Butternut Squash Risotto.  This plate full of deliciousness combines roasted butternut squash, asparagus, mushrooms, red peppers, fresh spinach, and red onion simmered with Aborio rice and topped with parmesan. Wow!

Bourbon Blue has had this menu item in my dreams since I first saw it on their menu… Southern Fried Chicken, an 8 oz chicken breast, buttermilk battered and deep fried golden brown.  Then, set atop mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach and topped with country gravy. Yes, please!

Something different is offered on the Manayunk Tavern Restaurant Week menu: Ahi Tuna Soft Shell Tacos!  These delicious fish tacos are topped with Oriental slaw and cilantro/lime aioli sauce and also served with Asian hot and sweet steamed broccoli. Twist my arm!

Yanako’s Roasted Duck sounds absolutely too good to be true.  A Moullard duck breast glazed with ginger soy sauce and sautéed wild mushrooms?  I definitely can’t miss this menu item!

And Chabaa has something just as titillating… Mango Shrimp.  The plate includes crispy jumbo tiger shrimp, baby corn and colorful bell peppers in a sweet and tangy sauce garnished with fresh mango, apple and pineapple. Sounds like the perfect shrimp entrée.

Mouth-watering is exactly the term to describe this menu item from Bisou: Roast Pork Tenderloin.  Bisou describes this dish as crispy pork belly, caramelized brussel sprouts and an apple brandy veal jus. To die for!

Sapphire is serving an entrée on their $20 menu consisting of Filet Mignon served in a beurre rogue sauce with asparagus and petso mashed potatoes. These are a few of my favorite things!

Finally, a meal that would make any Italian weep with joy is on the menu at La Collina.  Veal Involtini is listed on the $30 menu served stuffed with Prosciutto, spinach, cheese, artichokes and mushrooms.  I’d swim across the river to taste this meal if I had to!

If you haven’t already, make your reservations for the remainder of Manayunk Restaurant Week now!  You don’t want to miss these fantastic menu items!
