Manayunk is ready to show their support to the LGBTQIA+ community this month! Pride month is a time to honor and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. This month in Manayunk, there will be plenty of events and activities to participate in. Many local businesses will be offering special Pride-themed bar and menu items as well. Below will be a sneak peek into what some businesses are doing to show their support.

“Climbing the Rainbow” with Awakenings Pole Fitness

Get active with Awakenings Pole Fitness by joining their “climbing the rainbow” ariel class which is designed to foster and hold a safe, inclusive space for trans and non-binary folks to learn aerial arts.

This class is a introductory level, beginner friendly class that will involve learning skills on lyra, silks, and sling.

In thanks to The Movement Foundation, instead of a full price individual class pass, which would retail for $35, students are welcome to pay anything between $15-$35 if buying individual class passes for this class. A Sip of Pride with Artesano Café

Try out Artesano’s new pride menu this month! They will be introducing Pride-themed coffee, tea, and cocktail drinks. Groove to their specially selected pride playlist on the weekends while enjoying a tasty new drink.

On June 15^th join them for an open mic night (pride-themed, of course) to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pride Toys and Treats from Pet Friendly Dog Bakery

Don’t forget to take a stroll with your pup and hit up the Pet Friendly Dog Bakery this month to grab some Pride cookies, cannolis, and toys! Your dog will thank you.
