I don't know Manayunk it just one of those places that if you are Philadelphia artist that you have to play at. It is center city without actually being center cit.
What is your first musical memory?
My first musical memory is sitting in the living room with my father playing the theme from Carmen, by Bizet. I walked over to the piano and started playing the famous theme by ear. That made my parents decide to start me in piano lessons.
What is your favorite musical memory?
I have been doing a lot of theater lately and when you asked that question my mind just went to singing in a theater and doing musicals so I would have to say right now doing musicals is my favorite.
What do you want your audience to take away from hearing your music after a performance?
I want my audience to enjoy a cathartic experience I do want them to enjoy my music but I also think I am funny so I like to try and add any comedic energy to my performances as well. I want the audience to enjoy themselves as much as possible and forget anything that maybe worrying them or stressing them out and have fun.
What does music do for you?
I think the answer to that is similar to what does it do for the audience I have always enjoyed singing and it is a healing experience for me to !
What is special about the Manayunk area that made you want to preform here ?
Manayunk is again of the places as an artist in Philadelphia that you have to preform at. The restaurants and the people all have an energy that is original to Manayunk. Also, the parking is getting better which I am sure everyone is happy about.
