When and where is the event taking place?
Saturday, November 30th from 11 AM to 5 PM at Kismet Cowork- Manayunk.
What can we expect from PhilaMRKT?
There will be a collection of over 30+ local artists, illustrators, designers, and print makers. The market sets up shop for a day and vendors can sell their art.
What kind of vendors will be there?
Our market is a little more art than craft. There are a lot of limited edition prints, stationary products, stickers, apparel, and almost anything you can put art onto. We will have some craft vendors who will be in attendance.
Why is it important to shop small?
Especially this time of year, it is boring to get a gift from Target or get a gift card on amazon. Anyone can do that. So i think everyone is looking for unique gifts and things you can find elsewhere for the holiday season. As an artist working in the city, I have always tried to support local artists and local small business because it seems like the right thing to do.
Why did you want to host the market in Manayunk?
This is are third year we are hosting this market. We have moved it every single year so far. We decided to do to Manayunk because it is such a tight knit community. It seems that everyone is supportive of small businesses and the arts. It seemed like a great fit! Manayunk is a unique neighborhood in Philadelphia.
