Where are you from?

I was originally from Ukraine, and came to the United States when I was 5 years old. I have lived everywhere from Pennsylvania, California, Colorado, Turkey, Spain, Italy, and Morocco.

What is Vacay Beauty?

It is a safe space for everybody with every type of body to come in and get some warmth added to their skin. Vacay Beauty is not just a sunless tanning salon. It is a way of empowering individuals by creating a close one on one interaction between my business and our clients.

What inspired you to open up Vacay Beauty in Manayunk?

I originally had a career in marketing, specifically in corporate communications. I always wanted to become an established entrepreneur. When I came to the Philadelphia area, one of my friends brought up the idea of doing mobile spray tanning. I started to learn more about sunless skin care. I thought I could do this in a different way that isn't about solely a spray tan. It's a way of educating and empowering people.

What specific tanning packages do you offer?

Vacay Beauty offers two different types of services for tans. You also have the ability to bundle some of those tans into a package of 3, 5, or 10. We also have monthly memberships! My goal is to make this as affordable as possible for my clients.

What is your favorite part about Manayunk?

My favorite part about Manayunk is definitely the community aspect. The community members have been so welcoming of me since I have started!
