KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Founders Philly Freeze-Out 2019

What is Founders Philly Freeze-Out?

Manayunk has partnered with Founders Brewing Co. to create an all day winter spectacular filled with ice sculptures and ice carving demonstrations, an ice beer garden, a chowder crawl, live music, a hot cocoa bar, exclusive shopping on Main Street, and more! This event is family-friendly, but guests must be 21+ to enter the ice beer garden and/or participate in the Chowder Crawl.

When is this happening?

Founders Philly Freeze-Out will be taking place on Saturday, January 26th from 11AM-4PM.

The Chowder Crawl will take place 12PM-3PM.

Where is this happening?

Founders Philly Freeze-Out will take place in various locations. There will also be activities in numerous restaurants and retail shops to stop in and warm up!

Canal View Park:
11AM-4PM:
Ice beer garden with samples from Founders Brewing Co., live DJ
2PM: Live ice carving demonstration

Main and Cotton Streets:
11AM-4PM: MNYK swag for sale, fire pits, Chowder Crawl check-in
1PM: Live ice carving demonstration
2-4PM: Live music with Stella Ruze (duo)

Main and Lock Streets:
11AM-4PM: Bailey's Treat Bar, Captain Morgan Spiced Cider, and Founders Brewing Co. samples, fire pits
11AM: Live ice carving demonstration
1-3PM: Live music with Jackson Howard

What is the Chowder Crawl?

Manayunk's first ever Chowder Crawl allows guests to try a sample of chowder from each restaurant participating in the crawl. The Chowder Crawl will run from 12-3PM.

Cotton Street will be closed in between Main and Cresson Streets.

Coming To Manayunk By Car

From South

(Delaware, Baltimore)

Take I-95 North. Follow signs for Central Philadelphia/I- 676 West. Follow 676 West to signs for Route 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) West - (towards Valley Forge). Take 76 to Belmont Ave/Green Lane Exit 338 (old exit 31), at the bottom of the ramp make a right turn cross the Green Lane bridge to the traffic light which is Main Street and make a right turn. Welcome to Manayunk - first parking lot will appear on your right just past the fire house.

From West

(Reading, Lancaster, Harrisburg)

Take the PA Turnpike East to Exit 326 (old exit 24; Schuylkill Expressway). Take Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) East towards Central Philadelphia. Take 76 to Belmont Ave/Green Lane Exit 338 (old exit 31), at the bottom of the ramp make a left turn, cross the Green Lane bridge to the traffic light which is Main Street and make a right turn. Welcome to Manayunk - first parking lot will appear on your right just past the fire house.

From North

Parking Here Is Simple, Convenient and Affordable!

There are over 700 spaces are available in parking lots conveniently located throughout the commercial district. In addition, revenue generated in many Manayunk parking lots is used for street maintenance, anti graffiti programs, landscape and greening projects, watershed education and ongoing development projects. Yes, your parking dollars help keep our neighborhood beautiful!

In addition, there will be a free shuttle running throughout the day to bring you to each min activation site, as well as participating bars off of Main Street, including Dawson Street Pub and Union Tap House.
