About Dog Day of Summer

This one has gone to the dogs! Celebrate our four-legged friends Saturday, August 20th, 2022 11AM-4PM with an afternoon of pet-friendly vendors and activities. Don't have a dog? Don't fret! This is a family-friendly event for four and two-legged guests!

Raffle Benefiting Street Tails Animal Rescue

Visit the Manayunk swag shop to pick up raffle tickets for a chance to win gift certificates to local restaurants and shops, free fitness classes, and pet themed merchandise! All proceeds will benefit Street Tails Animal Rescue.

Dog Inspired Poetry at Whitman on Walls!

Join local poets at Whitman on Walls! hosted by Venice Island.The event will project seven films on a public wall and feature live poets “speak back” to Whitman. This also includes a dog poem that you won’t want to miss!

How do I get there?

Driving: There are two exits off of I-76 that take you into Manayunk: Exit 338 (Belmont Ave/Green Lane) and Exit 340A (Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive).

Public Transportation: You can ride SEPTA right into Manayunk. For schedules and fare rates, contact SEPTA at (215) 580-7800 or on the web at for more information.

Trail Directions: Stay active and eco-friendly by biking to Dog Day of Summer! Take Kelly Drive from Center City or the Schuykill River Trail from all parts of the Philadelphia region, or visit the Bike Coalition of Greater Philadelphia for more details and biking maps.
