Location: Along Main Street and Cotton Street in Manayunk, Philadelphia
Admission: Free!
Do I need a dog to attend?
Not at all! While the event is geared toward dog lovers, you don’t need a pup to join the fun. Come out, enjoy the festivities, and pet all the adorable dogs!

Absolutely! Your pup can enjoy:
- City of Paws Pet Care & Supply will host a shaded cool-down area featuring doggie pools, free pup cups, and giveaway bags for the first 25 visitors.
- Stop by Animedic Veterinary Hospital for more refreshing pup cup ice cream.
- Stop by the Manayunk Tent on Cotton Street to enter for your chance to win the Dog Day raffle basket full of treats and goodies from a variety of Manayunk’s very own pet-centric businesses!

For the past 12 years, Bennett from The NEW 96.5 has worked with the PSPCA every week to help pets find loving homes through the Bennett’s Buddies program. This year, “Paws for a Cause” expands that mission with a 3-day live broadcast in partnership with the PSPCA and BluePearl Pet Hospital. On Saturday, August 16, Bennett and the PSPCA team will be at Dog Day of Summer broadcasting live from the Richard’s Apex Lot. Animal lovers are invited to stop by, meet adoptable animals, enjoy the festivities, and help raise crucial funds to support the PSPCA’s lifesaving work.

Will there be food and drink?
While there are no food trucks included in this event, there are plenty of businesses and restaurants in Manayunk that will be open during the event. Make sure to stop in to our local businesses to grab a bite!
Is Main Street closed to traffic?
No, Main Street will remain open to vehicles, so please be aware of your surroundings and keep your dog on a short leash while walking along the sidewalks and vendor areas.
How do I get there?
WALK OR BIKE HERE
Stay active and remain eco-friendly by walking or biking to Manayunk! Take Kelly Drive from Center City, the Circuit trails, or the Schuylkill River Trail from all parts of the Philadelphia region. Visit the Bike Coalition of Greater Philadelphia for more details and biking maps.
