Teen Services Coordinator (P/T)
North Light Community Center is looking for a creative, innovative and organized Teen Services Coordinator to oversee supports and programs to our middle and high school students. Emphasis is on providing college and career exposure and readiness programs as well as assist teens in developing 21st Century, critical thinking and resiliency skills. Our goal is also to provide exposure to non-traditional and local industry career opportunities, as well as higher education and specialized training. The coordinator will develop partnerships and cultivate relationships with local schools, universities, social service agencies, businesses, and funding partners. A high level of engagement with the public is needed as well as the ability to be organized in coordinating programs and providing one-to-one support to teens. This position is initially part-time with the intention of going full-time as it grows.
Founded in 1936 as a drop-in center to divert community youth from delinquency and petty crime, North Light Community Center has continually evolved in response to changing community needs. North Light seeks to empower people of all ages and abilities in our communities, especially those most in need, to reach their fullest potential as productive and responsible citizens through initiatives that support and enrich children, teens, and families.
Today, NL is a place where children learn and play in a safe and nurturing environment, teens learn life and career skills to realize their full potential, and families receive critical assistance. Programs include a state-licensed childcare facility with year-round school-age programs, emergency and family supports, college and career readiness for teens, arts and recreation, and access to technology.

Part time hourly position (25 hours/week); ability to work evenings and occasional weekends. This position is expected to go full time within 1-2 years. As this position grows, supervision of support staff will become a part of this responsibility.
Non-exempt position; Pay range $15.63 to $21.88 hourly; commensurate with experience.
