The Manayunk Development Corporation, also known as Manayunk.com, has an exciting opportunity to learn from and contribute to a highly recognized Philadelphia town brand through the role of Marketing & Events Intern. This position will report to the Director of Marketing & Events and will handle a variety of tasks in the marketing, public relations, event planning and social media sectors. This position is suited for a student who is working toward a degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or event planning.
MARKETING: Assist with updates to the Manayunk.com website with relevant event information, contribute to the bi-annual print and digital Manayunk Magazine, create content for MNYK Blog.
PUBLIC RELATIONS: Assist with event calendar listings for all Manayunk events and assist with content and design of monthly newsletters through the Constant Contact email system to keep our merchants and visitors informed on news in the district. Help track all Manayunk press.
EVENT PLANNING: Assist with all events including the Manayunk Arts Festival, Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival, Stroll the Street, Small Business Saturday and Holidays in Manayunk among others. Help onsite at events with set-up and breakdown.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Assist with all social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Create unique content and schedule posts following social media schedules and campaigns for each event. Oversee ongoing social media campaigns and help develop new content.
