KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Fall StrEAT Food Festival 2017

Are you ready for Fall StrEAT Food Festival? I can almost hear your stomach rumbling from here in anticipation! Here is everything you need to know to have a great time at StrEAT.
When is this happening?
StrEAT Festival official begins Thursday, September 14 at 5 p.m. and wraps up at 10 p.m.
What kind of trucks are going to be there?
There will be food trucks as far as the eye can see down Main St. From barbecue to cupcakes, Korean fusion to gourmet ice-pops and even a couple clothing trucks, you are sure to find 1 or 50 trucks and cuisines you will want to try!
How much does it cost?
This event is free to attend. Just bring some cash and let your taste buds do the spending!
Will the street be closed?
Main Street will be closed starting a 3 p.m. to the general public. Local and commercial traffic will be allowed until 5 p.m.
How do I get to Manayunk?
There are many ways to get here, but it's up to you to decide which works best.
- Driving: There are two exits off of I-76 that take you into Manayunk: Exit 338 (Belmont Ave/Green Lane) and Exit 340A (Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive). We recommend parking at the Green Lane lot (located on Green Lane between Main Street and Cresson Street) or parking at either the Wissahickon or Ivy Ridge Station and taking the train to the Manayunk stop.
- Public Transportation: Don't feel like driving? You can ride SEPTA's Manayunk-Norristown Line to the Manayunk Train Station. Here is Thursday’s inbound schedule and here is the outbound schedule. Both the 35 and 61 buses will be rerouted for the day to Ridge Avenue.
- Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are always great options as well if you don’t want to bother with parking. For Lyft rides you can use this code: STREAT to get $10 off your first ride. Must be redeemed on 9/14.

Who can come?
Anyone and everyone! Bring your friends, kids, grandparents, pets, and anyone else you can think of! As long as you love food, you will fit right in!
What else can I expect?
Trucks that serve apple themed dishes will be judged by local foodie bloggers to be awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize for food trucks and gourmet food vendors. There will also be three stages along Main Street where fantastic local acts will be performing throughout the entire event!
