What is the StrEAT Food Festival?

StrEAT is one of the largest food truck festivals in Philadelphia with more than 50 different food vendors and thousands of attendees. Main Street will be closed for the day between Shurs Lane and Green Lane, allowing festival goers to stroll through this historic district and indulge in some of the finest food truck cuisine.

This event serves as a kickoff to Manayunk Restaurant Week, which runs from Monday, September 19th to Friday, September 30th.

When is it?

The festival takes place this Sunday, September 18th between 11AM and 5PM. This is a rain or shine event.

What food vendors will be at StrEAT? What else can I expect?

All of the food trucks and vendors are listed below. It's safe to say there will be food options for everyone to enjoy this Sunday, so come hungry! While in Manayunk, take a break from the food trucks and stop by any of our local restaurants and shops. Head over to the Manayunk.com Swag Tent to purchase some awesome MNYK gear! Check out the scenic view from the Manayunk Bridge or explore the Towpath that runs alongside the canal. You can also listen to some epic live music at any of our three stages throughout the day. (full lineup below!) You can download a PDF version of the map below here.

How do I get to Manayunk?

There are many ways to get here, but it's up to you to decide which works best.

  • Driving: There are two exits off of I-76 that take you into Manayunk: Exit 338 (Belmont Ave/Green Lane) and Exit 340A (Lincoln Drive/Kelly Drive). Please note that the Walnut Lane Bridge is closed until October 2016, so we highly recommend taking Bells Mill Road or Lincoln Drive depending on where you are coming from. We recommend parking at the Green Lane lot (located on Green Lane between Main Street and Cresson Street) or parking at either the Wissahickon or Ivy Ridge Station and taking the train to the Manayunk stop.
  • Public Transportation: Don't feel like driving? You can ride SEPTA's Manayunk-Norristown Line to the Manayunk Train Station. Here is Sunday's inbound schedule and here is the outbound schedule. Both the 35 and 61 buses will be rerouted for the day to Ridge Avenue.
  • Taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts are always great options as well. In fact, Lyft has a special discount code for new users! Download the app and use code MNYK.
  • If you are feeling extra ambitious, why not walk, run, or bike to Manayunk via the Circuit Trails? Plan your adventure to Manayunk here!

Where are public restrooms located at the festival?

Port-o-pots will be in two locations at Levering Street and Lock Street.

Is this festival dog friendly?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your pup to the festival so long as they are on a leash.

What restaurants are participating in Manayunk Restaurant Week?

The following restaurants will be participating in Manayunk Restaurant Week. Click on the name of the restaurant to view their Restaurant Week Menu.

I read your entire blog post and you still didn't answer my question. What the heck am I supposed to do now?

If you have any questions regarding StrEAT, Restaurant Week, or Manayunk in general that haven't been answered in this post, you can email info@manayunk.org or call our office at 215-482-9565.
