7 DAY SPOTLIGHT: Taqueria Feliz

Since late 2013, Taqueria Feliz in Manayunk has been dishing out authentic, homestyle Mexican cuisine to the Greater Philadelphia area.  Brian Sirhal and Tim Spinner opened Taqueria as their third establishment for Feliz Restaurants.  They are extremely enthusiastic about what makes the taste buds and appetite run wild in the form of mouthwatering tacos, enchiladas, margaritas and much more. Dining at Taqueria Feliz guarantees a Mexican cultural experience along with great service and appetizing food. Their message to Manayunk, Philadelphia: "You like tacos, We like tacos, Let's taco bout it."

Brian and Tim are extremely enthusiastic about Mexican food. After the establishment of Feliz Restaurants, Taqueria originated as the third modern Mexican restaurant right behind Cantina Feliz and La Calaca Feliz. But what distinguishes Taqueria from the rest? It could be the ambiance that is warm and inviting, so you and your family can at home.  The food is always beautifully prepared, consistently delicious, and culturally fit.  Friendly bar staff can make quite a show whipping up tasty Blood Orange & Red Fresno Chile Margaritas, while brushing up on their Spanish, too.

Taqueria is especially unique of all Feliz Restaurants. This Manayunk destination boasts a more fun and casual vibe along with a fun and festive atmosphere. There are new additions every week and the chefs only use the finest ingredients to enhance and ensure quality excellence. Taqueria’s custom crafted menus include contemporary and rustic Mexican dishes tailored to suit any guest’s tastes or dietary needs.

 

The interior of Taqueria Feliz is bright, cheery, and especially eye-catching. The restaurant showcases colorful Mexican themed painted walls, vibrant furniture, intimate lighting fixtures, patterned or rustic decor, abstract floral printed countertops and  floor tiles. As soon as you walk through the doors, you begin to feel the . Aside from the restaurant itself, Taqueria also positions itself as the perfect venue for a variety of parties, celebrations, and corporate events, offering catering and banquet options as well.

At Taqueria, there is always something to do and employees are always on the go. Fortunately, General Managers Kelly and Phil have cultivated a positive, hard working team. "The pace of our job is certainly favorable," said Kelly, General Manager at Taqueria Feliz. "My team is awesome. They all have great personalities, work ethic and overall they are incredibly team oriented." Kelly emphasized the passion that shows from everyone working in the restaurant and how actively they participate in their food and beverage program. They are also good with relaying feedback from guests and giving their opinion or ideas on how to improve day to day operations. "All of these traits lead to an excellent guest experience and help our business grow."

Taqueria also loves getting involved with festivals and events that promote Manayunk in all aspects. Participating in local events such as Manayunk's Stroll the Street and the Hidden River Blues Festival, has afforded the restaurant lots of good business. Taqueria also likes to be involved in community events, making donations to schools or charity raffles. In addition, Feliz Restaurants is proud to announce their expansion of a fourth location - a new pizzeria opening soon in Horsham, PA, called Pizzeria Felici!
