Lenny Bazemore entered the art business in 2003 when he moved to Center City and started selling art for Galleria 1903. This experience ignited his appreciation for art and brought about his return to school to study fine arts at Montgomery County Community College.  With a background in real estate combined with a passion for art and property development, the discovery of the “blank canvas” of 4339 Main Street was an ideal opportunity for Lenny to utilize his talents. The building required an entire renovation but after several long months of inspiration and construction, the Bazemore Gallery was born. Since then, Lenny, a Main Line Resident, has become an owner of multiple Main Street properties because of Manayunk’s perfect location between his hometown and Center City.  

 

There was a time when Manayunk’s streets were teeming with art galleries and Lenny works towards revisiting that era. His storefront focuses on the promotion of not only the physical beauty of the art within it but also the essence and spirit that emerges from the pieces. Lenny’s international excursions throughout North America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean are evident in the multicultural experience and essence within the gallery. This universality is particularly apparent in flow and atmosphere of the gallery manifested in Feng Shui.

 

It’s all about harmony and unity when it comes to Lenny Bazemore, not only within his store but within the community as well. The proud Manayunk gallery owner is extending his “devotion to the community and to unique design aesthetics” to the town and its future with the creation of The Juice Merchant. This in-progress juice bar, featuring a designated artist wall, will fit right into the active and unique vibe of Main Street. As a “juicer” for years, Lenny is excited to open his healthy, boutique café that will offer “daily fresh pressed juices, smoothies, salads and wraps that people can enjoy in-house or take home with them.” Whether displayed in a unique café or a synergistic gallery, Manayunk will never be short the beauty of art with Lenny Bazemore in town.
