What inspired the opening of Pet Friendly Dog Bakery?

I believe the owners have a true love for Manayunk and they have a dog of their own, so they wanted a place for all the dogs in the neighborhood to get together!

Why MYNK?

I know the owners admire Manayunk as a great business district. The owners also own The Juice Merchant.

What has been the best part of working at Pet Friendly Dog Bakery?

I love the parties and the little events we host. It is really fun meeting all the dogs in Manayunk. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and invited every dog that has visited to come celebrate with us! We had a little doggy ice cream booth set up.

That sounds like so much fun. I wish I had a dog so I could bring them in here! I just have a cat.

We have cat stuff too! There are treats, toys, and more.

What sort of challenges do you face working here?

The day time slow points. When we don’t have events, business is slower. Other than that, I can’t think of anything. We run a popular business!

What treat is a dog favorite at the Bakery?

Our little hamburger! It is a shortbread cookie with oatmeal cookie cake in the middle. It’s a fan favorite.

What is your favorite breed of dog?

I’m a chihuahua lover! I have two of my own. I love them because they are so spicy and sassy.

So, when is the next party at Pet Friendly Dog Bakery?

The next two are on March 9th and 10th. We are hosting a royalty weekend with corgis and King Charles cavaliers. We are going to have crowns and lots of cute things!
