Job Description: The General Manager of Chamounix Mansion is a full-time, resident employee responsible for all facets of the operation of the facility, both day-to-day and long-range, in accordance with the purpose, goals, and policies of the Board of Directors of the Friends of Chamounix Mansion. As a condition of employment, the general manager resides in the two-story, five-room Chamounix Cottage. The general manager is supported by a staff of one full-time assistant manager. Responsibilities of the position include supervising staff; managing an efficient reservation system; executing ongoing marketing/sales initiatives; maintaining a friendly and welcoming atmosphere; delivering high-quality service to guests; as well as providing consistent cleanliness and security of facilities. The general manager also participates with the Board of Directors in the development of annual operating and capital budgets. The position reports directly to the Board Chair.

The successful candidate should be prepared to begin as soon as possible. Compensation includes a base salary of $50,000; health insurance; rent-free housing and utilities; and vacation time.

About Chamounix Mansion: Since 1965, Chamounix Mansion and Carriage House has provided safe, clean and affordable lodging to domestic and international visitors.
